2010 Spring Revival
Reverend Karl R. Marshall, Sr. is a born again believer who loves Jesus Christ and believes in serving Him whole-heartedley. He is the husband of Gwendolyn Marshall, the father to Kiera, KJ, and Kieaundra Marshall. He answered the call to preach the Gospel in March of 2002 and was licensed by Reverend George L. Smith, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in the Holland Section of Suffolk, Virginia, where he served faithfully as the Pastor for 5 years. He was recently called to serve as Pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Waverly, Virginia where he succeeds Reverend Dr. C.R. Alston. He is employed as the Sign and Paint Manager with the City of Suffolk in the Traffic Engineering Dept. he believes what the bible says in Matthew 19:26 - "With God all things are possible". He is a graduate of The Virginia University of Lynchburg, M.C. Allen School of Religion. He has a burning passion for the youth because just as Jesus told Peter in Luke 22:31 "Satan hath desired to sift you as wheat". Rev. Marshall believes he is still trying to do this with our youth today. There is also a special place in his heart for the more mature congregation, those whom God has blessed to pave the way for the younger generations, the same people who have been imparting wisdom and experience upon all of us for many years. He does his very best everyday to be like our saviour Jesus, who had the love of all people within Him. God has blessed him to be a lover of all people, and most importantly a lover of Christ and His Gospel. He believes with the possession of a God-given vision, the possibilities for His people are endless.
Finally, Reverend Marshall always says "I have been called by God to do what Paul admonished Timothy to do in 2Nd Timothy 4:2 which says "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season: reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine".

Christmas Clothes Drive

Merry Christmas! Around this time of year there are so many things going on around us that have very little to do with the true meaning of Christmas. Be sure to take the time to focus on AND share the real meaning of Christmas with someone who doesn't know or may not understand what it really is about. Alecia Lee and the Hospitality Ministry at Miracle of Faith wants to extend the meaning of love at Christmas by donating to families who are in need. We will do this by accepting contributions of slightly used clothing and toys. All donations can be dropped off at the church and placed in the designated container located in the narthex. Please spread the word to your friends and family so that the gift of giving will be shared by all.

7When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, "Will you give me a drink?" 8(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
9The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.a]"
10Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."
11"Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?"
13Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

Sunday Service
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
This sermon was given by Pastor Vernon S. Lee, Sr on youth Sunday in April. The sermon was illustrated by the Pastor to help the congregation understand that children are to be loved and reared in a manner that will benefit them later in life by making them appreciate all that they are given in their youth while preparing them to take responsibility and accountability for the numerous events that they will face throughout life.
