Christmas Clothes Drive

Merry Christmas! Around this time of year there are so many things going on around us that have very little to do with the true meaning of Christmas. Be sure to take the time to focus on AND share the real meaning of Christmas with someone who doesn't know or may not understand what it really is about. Alecia Lee and the Hospitality Ministry at Miracle of Faith wants to extend the meaning of love at Christmas by donating to families who are in need. We will do this by accepting contributions of slightly used clothing and toys. All donations can be dropped off at the church and placed in the designated container located in the narthex. Please spread the word to your friends and family so that the gift of giving will be shared by all.

Church 11th Anniversary

Get your tickets and spread the word about our 11th Annual Church and Pastor's Anniversary celebration, which will take place on Sat., OCT. 17, 2009 at 4:00PM! The Banquet & Concert will take place at the Portsmouth Women's Club located on:
304 Sycamore Street
Portsmouth, VA.

The anniversary celebration will continue with a church service on
Sunday, October 11, 2009. There will be lunch after service (more details about the luncheon soon - or you may contact the church).

Jesus, Jeans, and Jerseys!!! Do you want to praise Jesus? Do you want to do this while wearing your favorite jeans? Would you also like to show support to your favorite sports team? Well, come on out to Miracle of Faith on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 4:00 PM til 7:00 PM and you can do all three at the same time!! There will be games, food, music, fun and prizes!! Fish Fry/Yard Sale!!

Come on Out!!... bring a family member, bring a friend!!!... because the Anniversary Committee will host a "Fish Fry/Yard Sale" this Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 1900 Deep Creek Blvd. The event will begin at 10:00 am. The cost of dinners is $8.00 and sandwiches are $5.00... Fried chicken dinners and sandwiches will also be available!!!

And don't forget to check out the Yard Sale for a great bargain!!!

Have you ever been in a parade? If your answer is no, well here's your chance!! If your answer is yes here's another chance!!! JULY 19TH!! It's the return of the First Lady's Annual Hat Parade. Parade your favorite hat and give a love donation of $25.00. The First Lady has a magnificent talent of doing wonderful things with the proceeds generated from this event.

¹¹"Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? ¹²Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?"

¹³Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, ¹⁴but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

This sermon was given by Pastor Vernon S. Lee, Sr on youth Sunday in April. The sermon was illustrated by the Pastor to help the congregation understand that children are to be loved and reared in a manner that will benefit them later in life by making them appreciate all that they are given in their youth while preparing them to take responsibility and accountability for the numerous events that they will face throughout life.

Easter service was wonderful. Pastor Vernon S. Lee, Sr provided the message "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man". The message borrowed it's title from the book written by Steve Harvey but was given from a biblical perspective with a few highlights from the aforementioned book. The message was given with the intent of shedding some light on the differences between male and female interpretations of life.

A large number of friends and family chose to worship with us at MOF as we all celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
